In February 2013 Public Concern at Work set up a Commission to focus on workplace whistleblowing, which covers workers raising concerns about actual or potential wrongdoing either within the organisations for which they work or externally with, for example regulators, the media, Members of Parliament and campaigning Non-Governmental Organisations. The Commission published its report in November 2013 and can be downloaded below. The key recommendation of the Commission is the the creation of a statutory Code of Practice which can be taken into account by courts and tribunals considering whistleblowing issues. Public Concern at Work has now started a campaign to encourage organisations to sign up to this Code - this is our First 100 campaign.
